Across Maryland, the minimally invasive procedure known as the Silhouette InstaLift Facelift, has generated much excitement. It’s no wonder, considering that with this procedure many patients can benefit from immediate lifting of the facial skin, a short recovery time with no visible scars and no invasive surgery. The name says it all: you get an instant lift at the completion of the procedure.
The Silhouette InstaLift versus Contour ThreadLift
While Dr. Kane was extremely successful with the Threadlift Procedures 10 years ago, the company Contour Threadlift stopped manufacturing the threads. Fortunately, a new and improved type of sutures are now being created by Silhouette InstaLift. The Silhouette company has created sutures that are dissolvable. As they dissolve, they are not only lifting the tissues of the face and other body areas, but stimulating your own collagen to firm and tighten your skin. For those people who are familiar with Sculptra, Silhouette InstaLift uses the same collagen stimulating substance called polylactic acid.
The Silhouette InstaLift provides very similar results to the Threadlift that Dr. Kane was able attain for over one-hundred of his Baltimore patients using the Contour Threadlift procedure. For his patient below, he combined the Threadlift procedure on this patient’s cheeks and jowls with a Neck Lift with Platysmaplasty, Upper EyeLids surgery and an Obagi Controlled Depth Peel. She gave us 6 weeks to look her best for her wedding date. She was extremely pleased and quite beautiful for her wedding day.
Who are Good Candidates for the Silhouette InstaLift?
The Silhouette InstaLift works well for people of all ages and of all ethnic backgrounds. For example, patients who are younger with early skin laxity, as well as, for older patients who feel they do not want to undergo an invasive facelift procedure due to medical issues. Silhouette InstaLift is even ideal for those patients who have had a previous traditional facelift in the past and are seeking to simply refresh their faces again. It can also be an option for smokers and medically high-risk patients, and for people who would rather avoid general anesthesia. The procedure is popular with men who are excited about the possibility of a natural-looking lift without scarring, especially if they are bald or have a receding hairline.
To achieve optimal results, careful patient selection is key. As one of the first surgeons in the country to perform the procedure, Dr. Dean Kane is highly experienced in choosing appropriate candidates and performing the procedure with precision. Wondering whether the Silhouette InstaLift is a good choice for you? The best way to find out is to request a consultation with Dr. Kane.
How the Silhouette InstaLift Works
For this unique, minimally invasive procedure, Dr. Kane will use the Silhouette sutures that have bidirectional cones to redirect and tighten the skin on your face. The superficial layers of the skin gently lift the cheeks, jowls and upper neck. Patients see an immediate lifting effect which becomes permanent within several weeks when the underlying tissue heals into its new position. The dissolving sutures then stimulate your own natural collagen that provides an even greater tightening and firming of the face tissues.
The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia. But light sedation is an option for patients who prefer a light sleep. The Silhouette InstaLift normally takes about an hour.
Recovery for Your Silhouette InstaLift
Following the procedure, any minor pain can be controlled with over the counter medication. Patients often experience some bruising and swelling for a few days, but less than they would have with a traditional facelift. Most Maryland residents may engage in light activity the day following their Silhouette InstaLift and return to work without exertion in one to 5 days.
Baltimore patients are very pleased with the results of their Silhouette InstaLift. The procedure can take years off the appearance of your face by:
- Repositioning the cheeks and jowls
- Reducing the naso-labial and marrionette folds
- Revealing a well defined jaw line
- Combining with lipo-contouring and a neck lift to rejuvenate the lower face
- Combining with a short scar brow lift to smooth the forehead
- Combining the ThermiTight for added jowl and neck tightening
- Combining with ThermiSmooth to smooth the fine wrinkles around the mouth, eyes and forehead.
- The Silhouette InstaLift provides the latest best option for face, breast and body lifting and skin firming with no surgical incisions!
The Perfect Non-Surgical Facelift Duo: ThermiTight and InstaLift
In our Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Medi-Spa, Dr. Dean Kane, is a true out of the box thinker and creator. Dr. Kane is combining the newest technologies and advancements to provide patients with even greater non-surgical facial outcomes.
Dr. Kane now offers two great Non-Surgical Facelift Procedures: The Silhouette InstaLift that lifts and firms the facial skin with dissolvable collagen producing sutures and the ThermiTIGHT, using radio frequency to tighten the face and neck.
The Silhouette InstaLift places anchoring sutures under the skin to pull the lax skin of the face and neck upward toward the temple hairline lifting the skin of the nasal folds, jowls and turkey neck from where they came from. The sutures themselves are made from the Sculptra and Vicryl molecules used under the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin for increased tightening and firming while creating a secondary lift lasting up to 2 years.
The ThermiTighRF; with local anesthetic, this new option uses a needle-like probe under the skin, to tighten and stimulate your own collagen and elastin to firming the face and neck. ThermiTight alone enhances patients who have mild skin laxity and need the energy boost to achieve firming of their tissues. For patients with a greater skin laxity, the Silhouette InstaLift provides this added directional lifting and tightening.
Why Combine the Two Procedures
They both are tightening the skin but in different ways giving an even more dramatic and greater effect. Both procedures can be done at the same time and requires only local anesthesia. Both procedures provide an immediate and prolonged stimulation of skin shrinking or directed tightening. There is no surgical cutting of the skin. Each procedure takes approximately an hour. Patients can drive themselves if no narcotic or sedative is given at the time of the procedure. For the combined procedures, you should expect additional swelling and mild bruising so the recovery time can be from 1 to 2 weeks. But anyone working from home would be able to work by the next day.
For today’s patient who truly doesn’t feel a surgical facelift is for them, then the Duo: ThermiTight and InstLift may be just what the doctor ordered!!! That is what Dr. Kane ordered.
