Plastic Surgeon Dr. Dean Kane of Baltimore Answers Question Regarding CoolSculpting for Chin, Submental and Jowl Profile

Dr. Dean Kane | Baltimore MD

Q. Would CoolSculpting mini work for my double chin?

A. If you are able to pinch a bulge of skin and fat, CoolSculpting can work. Only an in-person evaluation will determine if a CS applicator and this technique is right for you.

Thanks for sharing your photos.  I see a short or retrognathic chin/mandible. This may cause the fullness of your tongue to push downward creating a submental fullness. CS will not fix this. If this is the concern, orthognathic or jaw surgery including a genioplasty (chin advancement).

Please obtain consultation from a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and / or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to properly examine you and make recommendations.

I wish you the best!
