Please advise any procedures recommended to correct and restore my lower/mid/upper face (i.e. facelift and/or fillers)?

Dr. Dean Kane Q&A Q. I have just had 1 syringe of Juvaderm Ultra Plus, 1 syringe of Juvaderm Ultra and 1 syringe of Restylane Silk divided between my nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin and lips. Side note: the doctor put Juvaderm directly in the corners of my mouth and “fanned outwards” which seems to be giving me even more of a “side jowel” looking appearance. A hard lump also developed in my upper inner lip that I’ve had to go back and have dissolved with Vitrase twice now. A. Thanks for sharing your photos! Without a in-person consultation, I can only provide general information based on this limited inquiry. It will be best for you to consult with a well experienced, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to consider upper/mid/lower face and neck concerns using surgical, minimally invasive and non-surgical options. I visualize a relatively thin woman with mild aging of the face; particularly from the cheeks to the jowls. Your lips are full with minimal thinning and I see no neck concerns. There are many factors to consider such as:
  • a priority listing of which areas concern you
  • budget
  • recovery time
  • medical health
  • whether surgical options will be considered
In my experience, thin, active women do not wish to have fuller faces. They desire well contoured, firm, lifted faces. Please consider these options:
  • short-scar facelift with high SMAS plication and neck suspension to:
o   suspend the jowl to the cheek and fill the tear trough with the soft tissues elevation o   redrape the jawline, marionette and nasolabial folds upward
  • neck suspension suture to highlight the jawline and angle of the neck
  • filler or fat to the cheeks
  • sculptra for skin firming
  • ZO Skin Health for rejuvenated up-regulation of skin turnover, exfoliation and pigmentation control

I hope this was helpful. All the best!
