Dr. Dean Kane Answers Question Regarding Botox for Chin Dimples

Q: Can Botox help my chin ptosis? When I smile my chin pad extends beyond my chin bone and I get dimpling on one side. Can botox correct this or is surgical correction needed?

A: Thanks for sharing your photos. You have a beautiful smile and lips. The picture illustrates a minimally overzealous depressor labii inferioris pull on the lip (more tooth show) and the skin of the chin (a dimple). A tiny amount of botox will relax both. Pick an expert as too much or wrong site injection will rebalance the adjacent muscles too.

All the best!
