Q. Does (hypothetical) weight gain after Coolsculpting result in untreated areas seeming proportionally larger than before? If I gain weight after coolsculpting, there are fewer fat cells to store the incoming fat. (And assuming the fat cells enlarge evenly across the body…) Does this mean that untreated areas will then seem proportionally larger than they have before?
A. What you say is true. The fat cells removed through CoolSculpting (CS) will not return but a redistribution of the calories taken in will enlarge other fat cells whether you maintain your weight or gain weight. So, yes, the adjacent areas to the CS may appear larger.
CoolSculpting, like liposuction or tummy tuck will contour the body but not reduce weight; only calorie reduction will do that.
