Sculptra for under eyes or something similar?

Dr. Dean Kane Q & A Q. I had Botox about a month ago for my lines when I smiled and I’m pretty happy with the results. I’d like to know if there is anything else I could do for the little lines left directly under my eyes? A. Botox for lower eyelid lines is a slippery slope. Yes, it will reduce fine dynamic lines but in relaxing the eyelid muscle to do so may allow for the eye-bags to protrude. Be judicious in its use. Sculptra is a very advanced technique and definitely not useful as a initial improvement for fine lines of the lower eyelids. You have many other options including:
  • Skin tightening with retinoids; seek a Certified ZO Obagi Skin Health Specialist
  • Chemical peels to tighten the skin
  • Fraxel CO2 or Erbium Pixel lasering
  • Artfully and carefully injected dermal fillers
I hope this is helpful. Consult with very experienced and Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or ENT Facial Surgeon for your best recommendations.  All the best.
