Sculptra vs Voluma vs Restylane Lyft?

Dr. Dean Kane Q & A Q. My lower face is thin and I want to add more volume. I like the idea that Voluma and Restylane are both hyaluronic acid and can be reversed. But I keep hearing those shouldn’t be used for the lower face. Sculptra concerns me because you’re stuck with it even if you don’t like the results. I’ve also heard you have to massage the Sculptra areas 5 minutes a day for 5 days to prevent lumps and bumps. Is that true? Can you have a lower face lift or fat graft even a year or so after having Sculptra? A.
  1. Sculptra is better as a bio-stimulant of collagen formation and skin firming.
  2. Voluma and Rstylane Lyft are hyaluronic acid gels which attract water to replace lost volume.
  3. The 2 “fillers” are complementary. I am sorry I do not have the opportunity for a in-person consultation. You are doing yourself a disservice by considering less than optimal procedures which will not provide:
1. Skin redraping and removal of excess, 2. Reposition of fat and soft tissues to where they were during a more youthful phase, 3. Skin texture enhancement and firming using a ZO Skin Health therapeutic protocol. Please consider your best options based on this one photo; it is a face and neck lift. Adjunctive procedures to consider are brow lift, upper eyelid lift and lower eyelid lift. I wish you the best!   This information is not meant as medical advice.
