Q. Do you use the ThermiTight technique for loose skin above the knee?
A. Yes I have and it works (with the following caveats*). ThermiTIGHT requires collagen to absorb the heat, contract initially and then generate a “controlled inflammatory” response to make more collagen and tighten.
*Thin skin with crepiness and significant laxity are due to a thin dermis and lack of collagen.
If the skin is significantly thin, start with 2 sessions of Sculptra injections and 3 months of collagen build-up prior to ThermiTIGHT.
*You will obtain a 0-30% subjective improvement and will need to repeat yearly.
This technique or Sculptra alone has worked for me to improve areas of the decolletage, banana roll, buttocks, dorsal hands, tummy skin and neck as well.
Please consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with the skills and experience to provide these advanced techniques.
I wish you all the best!
