Q. Is Botox in the gums for a gummy smile a safe treatment? I went today to get my first gummy smile treatment with botox, but I’m a little bit scared, since she injected the botox in my upper gums. Im concerned because I thought it was wierd when she told me she puts the botox in the gums to treat this gummy smile problem. I got back home and search about info and I didn’t find absolutely any results about it. Could anybody please let me.know if it’s okay? Common? Normal? Should.i be worried? I definitely am!
A. This is definitely a different approach. If performed correctly into the muscle lateral to the nasal ala, the result should be equal to the traditional advanced technique percutaneously. You will know within 7-10 days.
I wish you all the best!
