Dr. Dean Kane Q & A Q. I’ve had a scar since I was a few months old, now I’m 17. It has been causing me trouble for life and I have no money to buy any medical treatment. A.So sorry for this concern! Unfortunately, at this time, all scars are permanent. There is no way yet to “erase” a scar but many ways to improve it.
