Q. I had a facelift 8 months ago. Pain, numbness, decreasing. BIG, problem is dizziness and much confusion ALL the time while awake. Forgetful of everything IMMEDIATELY, (ANXIETY ). I think right ear is the problem. Have tingling in lower legs and feet, hands. Referred to Neurologist-Wake-Forrest, WS. She’s not connecting with me – said she never had a facelift patient before. Not dull, retired from Duke Univ. No substance abuse ever. Thanks A. ​​Thanks for reaching out. So sorry for these problems. A facelift 8 months ago with immediate versus distant timing of the onset of dizziness, confusion, forgetfulness and tingling in the extremities generate different concerns and issues in diagnosis and treatment. Not every physician will “connect” with a patient. Return to your facelift surgeon and your primary care physician / internist to evaluate and recommend the proper referral for your issues; it does not necessarily sound like it is due to the facelift. Continue to seek a board certified ENT or neurologist for the proper work-up to these symptoms. Should it become acute with weakness or the inability to stand or walk, proceed directly to the Emergency Room for immediate evaluation. I wish you the very best!
