Can I have ears attached to face during facelift?

Dr. Dean Kane Q & A Q. I will be having a face and neck lift and wonder if it’s possible to reduce the size of my ear lobes and have them attached to my face at same time? A. ”Pixie” earlobes, those attached and stretched down along the back of the jawline may be associated with aging or genetics. They are considered to be less youthful than a pert but hanging earlobe. Long hanging earlobes are also associated with aging and may be thinned from a heavy earring. During the facelift procedure, the earlobe is released from its attachment to the cheek skin. It is at this point that the earlobe may be modified and inset to create a more youthful appearance with that of the facelift. Consider the skill and talent of your surgeon. Consult with and use a well experienced and Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or ENT Face Surgeon. All the best!
