Q: Is it a reasonable expectation for me to go back to my desk job five days after facelift surgery when working remotely?
I plan on getting a facelift in September. I currently work from home for a large company in HR. I am on the phone approximately half of the workday, and on the computer most of the workday. Is it a reasonable expectation for me to go back to my desk job five days after facelift surgery – without feeling physically drained from the recovery of the procedure?
A: Good question! Unfortunately, there are so many factors to determine this. My short answer opinion is that you will probably be mentally ready to perform some work remotely but not a full day. The variety of facelifts provided and your medical health and recuperation will determine what you will be able to do. Be careful with the phone or earphones coming in contact with your face and incisions so there is no compression or transfer of contact infection. Take lots of pauses and do not stress!
Best to allow your body to heal so you can return to your job with the same exuberance you had before your surgery. Speak with your Surgeon regarding your desires and expectations. All the best!
